The Women's Advocate helps individuals assess their options at times of crisis. She offers an empathetic ear in a completely confidential setting. She helps with basic services - financial, legal, social, housing and employment – while supporting women to trust in their own judgment, and make positive decisions for themselves.
Our Women's Advocate also has an in-depth knowledge of the services offered by partner agencies and is able to make referrals to the most appropriate resource for each client.
The Advocate assists women to navigate services and benefits, and to access information needed to make informed choices. She sometimes liaises between women and governmental agencies and/or community organizations and/or supports women in navigating the system themselves.
Individuals are encouraged to make an appointment to speak with the Women's Advocate by phoning or e-mailing the contact below.
We try our best to accommodate individual walk-ins, but please note that the Women's Advocate is often helping individuals off-site and clients would be best served if they phone ahead for an appointment. We work in a very small space and are continueing with social distancing rules into the fall to keep our clients safe and comfortable. This means that individuals may have to wait outside if the Advocate is with another client and the waiting room is full.
