Moms with Kids in the System Chapter 

This chapter of Sisterhood peer support group is for moms, grandmothers, and aunties, with children in care (at present or in the past), to connect, heal, share knowledge, and grow.  

Our Facilitator

Kerry Nolan, facilitates and co-coordinates the group in collaboration with our Women’s Advocate. Kerry brings in depth personal experience and compassion to this group and is known for her advocey work with Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition.

Her facilitation style is participant-led and she’s constantly adding new offerings in response to the needs of the group.  

What Participants can Expect

  • Opportunity to listen and share in a caring and non-judgmental circle.
  • Different activities/resources for self-growth and empowerment presented each week.
  • A focus on exploring and nurturing our inner wisdom.

Folks are welcome to drop-in and check out Sisterhood - which normally takes place at the Women's Centre (503 Hanson St.), Fridays 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  Some weeks the group heads out on the land, with transportation provided to and from the Centre.

Registration needed to secure spot on some weeks when space is limited.

Open to all women and gender-diverse folks.
