VFWC's Community Kitchen, which runs Wednesdays between 11:30am and 1pm, and Fridays 4-6pm, is our most popular program. Free (or by donation) and open to all women; Community Kitchen is a rich community event that normally brings women together for:
- a meal
- to share news, skills, and information
- to connect with one another
Community Kitchen brings women together and builds communities of support and experience, just by breaking bread together. For some women, this weekly event is the only time they get fresh fruit and vegetables and is invaluable in fighting isolation.
