Request for Proposals (RFP)- Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre -Community Engagement

Background
The Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre will be celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2026! Since 1997, we have been operating at our current location, and annually over 5,000 women, gender diverse folks and children come through our doors.
Purpose Our organization is committed to our ongoing role(s) in decolonization and aligning the Centre with community needs. We are moving towards aligning our work with the ‘Land Back’ movement and want the Centre To reflect this in our strategic partnerships with other organizations, our commitments to the National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence (GBV-NAP), and our ongoing relationships with the Women’s Coalition.
Scope of Work
- Support the Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre to engage community in conversations to ensure the Centre is aligned with our community’s needs and support us to articulate these needs to better meet community needs.
- Ensure engagement with Indigenous communities, 2SLGBTQIA+, and non-binary community members as a key deliverable.
- Support our organization in ensuring this engagement is reflected in our vision, mission, and values (core), and informs our programming and day to day operations.
Proposal Requirements
- Organizational information and team CVs
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to incorporating environmentally sustainable and community-centred insights and recommendations
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to incorporating satisfactory Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+ and nonbinary insights and recommendations
Timeline & Budget
-Work must be complete: August 31, 2025
-Project budget range: $10,000-18,000 (inclusive of GST and all project costs and fees described above)
