Request for Proposals - Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre Rename and Rebranding 

Did you know? The Women’s Centre has been around for almost 50 years, operating at our current location since 1997 and over 5,000 women, gender diverse folks and children come through our doors each year. We have currently adopted a policy to continue to decolonize and evolve the Centre’s purpose and image. We are moving towards the ‘Land Back’ movement and want the centre’s name, visual identity and brand to reflect the changes. 

Scope of Work:

• Assist in helping the Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre in helping rename the building and rebrand the centre.

• Assist in researching how to better engage with the community on how to best involve the community in choosing a new name.

• Draft a survey with a proposed idea on what channels you will use to complete the survey, how you will select participants and what communication mediums you will use to do the survey. 

• How will you engage the Indigenous communities, 2SLGBQI+, non-binary community members? 

• Help to develop a new name and visual identity, messaging

• Assist with the launch of the new name and visual identity

• Complete community engagement post launch to ensure that our new name reflects the Centre’s values, vision and mission

Requirements, please include the following with your proposal:

1. Company backgrounder

2. References for similar work 

3. Sustainability and environmentally friendly recommendations are sought.

4. Indigenous, 2SLGBQI+, nonbinary lens insight are sought and encouraged.

5. Work with VFWC to consider and implement where possible recommendations 

6. Timeline & Budget

Work must be complete: Summer, 2025

Maximum Budget for Total Project: $10,000-18,000 (inclusive of GST and all project costs and fees described above)
