11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Please note Monday drop-in lunches have been discontinued.
The Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies program at Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre is funded by the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) through Public Health Agency of Canada and provides support for expectant and new mothers with infants up to one year of age. Women have a chance to interact with other moms and babies, benefit from a variety of resources – including free maternity and baby clothing, grocery vouchers, vitamins for prenatal and newborns, and personal support – and enjoy a variety of activities during drop-in lunch on Thursday.
The program’s goals are to ensure healthy birth weights and eating habits, promote and support breastfeeding, improve long term family health and empower women to make healthy lifestyle choices.
The program shares successful partnerships with Alcohol and Drug Services, the Family Literacy Centre, and the Health Centre who each offer their staff as guest speakers to the program once per month.
